I'm Stefanie – painter,
photographer & graphic designer. I'm telling stories with my paintings – about the human psyche, animals, nature & the beauty in horror.

I have a high-school degree in design and worked as a graphic designer for 16 years.
Approximately 10 years I've been training myself – with the help of workshops, books & online courses – to become an illustrator. I illustrated a boardgame, some bookcover & did some editorial illustrations & advertisements. It was very clear from the beginning of my illustration career – I don't want to paint other peoples ideas – I need to make my own art.
Painting is – with my love for animals & nature – one of the rare things that are a constant in my life from the very beginning. It is deeply emotional & personal for me.
Animal rights & environmental protection are very important to me & find their way into my art. I’m living with my adorable tomcat Roscoe and the lovely cat Franzi in Bielefeld, Germany. A few days a week I'm spending with two great horses. I also love to read. And coffee…
